As part of the interior renovation of this home, the Owners wanted something more... a means of providing a distinction between their entry foyer and living room. It couldn't be a wall because that would create too much of a separation. A room divider with flexible functionality was the solution. In addition, the Owners wanted the fireplace mantle replaced and window seats added to each side of the fireplace. All of the improvements needed to reflect the Arts & Crafts styling of the house.
A freestanding room divider provided the degree of separation required by the Owners. Shown here is an option with closed doors for concealing a storage compartment. Above the storage compartment is a display shelf with translucent glass panels at the rear.
